Spot
Swap any token for any other, on Solana and six EVM networks, straight from your wallet.
Spot lets you swap tokens directly from your own wallet: USDC for ETH, ETH for BTC, BNB for USDT, and almost any token for any other. You can swap on one network or from one network to another (for example USDC on Arbitrum into ETH on Base) in a single step.
Open Spot in the top menu, next to Futures.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”Swaps are routed by Relay, a swap and bridging network. When you enter an amount, SigSig asks Relay for the best route right now, across decentralized exchanges and, for swaps between networks, Relay’s solvers, and shows you the price, the fee and what you’ll receive. When you confirm, your wallet sends the transaction and Relay delivers the tokens.
Networks: Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Chain, Polygon and Solana.
Spot and Futures are separate. Spot swaps the tokens in your wallet. Your futures account (the balance you trade perps with) is not touched by a swap. To move funds between the two, use the Futures account tile (see below).
The Spot page
Section titled “The Spot page”The page is laid out like the futures page:
| Area | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Markets (left) | The coins you can trade, with price, 24h change and 24h volume. Search by name. Click a coin to open its pair. |
| Pair bar (top) | The pair you’re looking at, e.g. ETH/USDC with the coin’s name, then price, 24h change, high, low and volume. Hover a figure with a dashed underline for its explanation. Click the pair to open the pair list: search, filter by network (All, Arbitrum, Base …) and click a pair to switch. On a phone the list slides in from the left. |
| Chart (middle) | A TradingView chart for any pair, including pairs between two coins (ETH/BTC, SOL/ETH …). |
| Transaction history (below the chart) | Your swaps, see Your swap history. |
| Right column | Three tiles: Connected wallet, Spot Trading (the swap) and Futures account. |
- Rearrange the tiles: drag a tile by the ≡ handle in its top right corner.
- Resize the areas: hover the gap between two areas until a line appears, then drag it: between Markets and the chart, between the chart and the right column, and between the chart and the Transaction history.
- Both are remembered in your browser.
Swapping, step by step
Section titled “Swapping, step by step”-
Connect your wallet
Section titled “Connect your wallet”Click Connect wallet in the wallet tile or top right. Spot needs no extra setup: no account creation, no “enable trading”.
-
Choose networks and tokens
Section titled “Choose networks and tokens”In Spot Trading, pick the From network and the token you pay with, then the To network and the token you want. Pick the same network on both sides for a normal swap, or two different networks for a cross-chain swap. The ⇅ button swaps the two sides.
Tip: click a token in the Connected wallet tile to swap from it.
-
Enter an amount
Section titled “Enter an amount”Type the amount you pay, or use 10% / 25% / 50% / Max. You can also type the amount you want to receive. The price updates as you type.
- The minimum is $1 per swap.
- Max on a network’s own coin (ETH, BNB, POL) keeps a little back for the network cost.
-
Check the details
Section titled “Check the details”Below the button: Rate, Estimated fee, Price impact, Network cost, Minimum received, Time, and your Slippage. Every line has an ⓘ explaining it.
-
Review the swap preview
Section titled “Review the swap preview”Click Swap. The Swap preview shows exactly what you pay and on which network, what you receive (estimated) and where, the minimum you’ll get, the rate, the fee, the network cost, your maximum slippage and the receiving wallet (yours). Click Confirm swap.
-
Confirm in your wallet
Section titled “Confirm in your wallet”- Swapping a token (USDC, USDT, ARB …): your wallet first asks you to allow SigSig’s swap route to use that token, for exactly this amount and not more, then to confirm the swap. That’s two confirmations.
- Swapping the network’s own coin (ETH, BNB, POL): one confirmation.
- On Solana: always one confirmation, there is no separate approval.
If your EVM wallet is on a different network, it asks you to switch first.
-
The button shows the progress. Swaps on one network usually complete within seconds; cross-chain swaps typically within a minute. Your wallet balances and the history update automatically.
Fees and costs
Section titled “Fees and costs”| Spot fee | 0.875% of the swap value in total: SigSig’s fee and the swap provider’s share together. It is already taken off the amount you receive, so the rate you see includes it. |
| Network cost | The blockchain’s own transaction fee (gas), paid in the network’s coin: ETH on Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum and Optimism, BNB on BNB Chain, POL on Polygon, SOL on Solana. Shown as Network cost before you swap. It goes to the network, not to SigSig. |
- You need some of the network’s coin for the network cost. If you don’t have enough, the button says so (for example Not enough POL for the network cost) and nothing is sent.
- On Solana keep a little SOL in your wallet (about 0.003 SOL or more): besides the very small network fee, receiving a token you’ve never held before opens a token account in your wallet, which costs a one-time deposit of about 0.002 SOL (Solana’s “rent”). Max on SOL keeps 0.006 SOL back for this.
- On Ethereum the network cost is noticeably higher than on Arbitrum, Base or Optimism. For small swaps an L2 network is cheaper.
Slippage and minimum received
Section titled “Slippage and minimum received”The price can move between the moment you confirm and the moment your swap executes.
- Slippage is how far it may move against you. Default 1%; change it with the ✎ next to Max under the swap button: choose 0.5%, 1% or 2%, or enter your own value up to 5%.
- Est. shows the expected price impact of your swap.
- Minimum received is the least you get within your slippage. If the price moves further, the swap is cancelled and nothing is spent (only the network cost of a failed transaction, if any).
Your spot slippage is saved separately from the futures slippage.
Cross-chain swaps
Section titled “Cross-chain swaps”Choose a different To network than From network to swap and move in one step, for example USDC on Polygon into USDC on Base, or ETH on Ethereum into BNB on BNB Chain. This works between the six EVM networks; Solana swaps stay on Solana (choosing Solana on one side switches the other side to Solana too).
- The preview marks it as a Cross-chain swap and highlights the receiving network.
- You pay on the first network; Relay delivers on the second, to the same wallet address.
- Delivery usually takes seconds to a minute. If a swap can’t be completed, Relay refunds your tokens. It then shows as Refunded in your history.
Your swap history
Section titled “Your swap history”- Under the chart: your swaps with time, what you paid and received, rate, fee, status and the transaction. Filter by asset, or switch on Only {pair} for the pair you’re looking at.
- Portfolio → Transaction history → Spot history: the same swaps, in the portfolio.
- Transaction: opens the swap on the network’s block explorer (Arbiscan, BaseScan, Etherscan …).
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Done | The tokens arrived. |
| In progress | Sent and being completed (cross-chain swaps take a little longer). |
| Failed | The swap didn’t go through. |
| Refunded | Couldn’t be completed; your tokens were returned. |
Spot swaps are separate from Convert history, which lists conversions inside your futures account.
Connected wallet tile
Section titled “Connected wallet tile”- Your wallet address, the Total value and every token you hold, with its value (on the six EVM networks for an EVM wallet, on Solana for a Solana wallet), refreshed every 30 seconds while the page is open.
- Hide balances under $10 to keep the list short.
- Connected wallet ▾ opens the wallet menu (switch or manage wallets).
- Click a token to swap from it.
Futures account tile
Section titled “Futures account tile”Your futures account at a glance, so you can move between spot and futures without leaving the page:
- Futures account ▾: switch between your main account and sub-accounts.
- Total value and Available (free collateral).
- ↑ Transfer to Futures: deposit from your wallet into your futures account.
- ↓ Withdraw to Spot: withdraw from your futures account back to your wallet.
- Transaction history ›: your deposits, withdrawals and swaps.
If your futures account isn’t ready yet, the tile shows the missing step instead: Enable trading, Create account or Wrong network.
Spot volume and VIP levels
Section titled “Spot volume and VIP levels”Your 30-day spot volume counts towards your VIP level, next to your futures volume and your assets, whichever gives you the highest level. Spot needs a tenth of the futures volume for the same level (VIP 1: $100,000 spot or $1,000,000 futures). The VIP level lowers your futures fees; the spot fee stays the same for everyone.
Spot volume is the USD value you paid in completed swaps. Your progress is on Fees & VIP.
Safety
Section titled “Safety”- You confirm every transaction yourself. Nothing can leave your wallet without your confirmation.
- Token approvals are for the exact swap amount: never unlimited.
- The receiving wallet is always yours, shown in the preview.
- Prices and routes come from Relay through SigSig’s server; your wallet’s private key never leaves your wallet.
- Some wallets show their own risk warning for swap transactions on certain networks (seen on BNB Chain and Polygon). Read what your wallet shows; if anything looks wrong, don’t confirm, and reach us in the Trollbox.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”The wallet window didn’t open
After 15 seconds the swap tile says No wallet window? Open your wallet extension. Open your wallet, the request is often waiting there. Click Cancel to stop waiting. If you still confirm the request later in your wallet, the swap goes through and appears in your history.
“Amount too small (min. $1)”
Swaps start at $1. Very small amounts can also be refused by the route; enter a slightly larger amount.
“High demand, try again in a moment”
Too many price requests at once. SigSig already retried for you; wait a few seconds and enter the amount again.
“Not enough … for the network cost”
You need some of the network’s own coin (ETH, BNB, POL or SOL) to pay the network cost. Add a little to your wallet on that network, or swap from another network. On Solana the button also counts the one-time deposit for a new token account (see Fees and costs).
“X isn’t on this network”
The token you picked doesn’t exist on the chosen network. The tile shows the networks where it does. Click one to switch.
A swap shows “In progress” for a long time
Cross-chain swaps can take a few minutes when a network is busy. The status updates by itself. Open the transaction (↗) to check it on the block explorer.
