Hotkeys

Trade and move around SigSig from the keyboard or a trade keyboard. Size slots, one key per trade, Options rounds, your own page and market hotkeys.

Hotkeys let you act from the keyboard: open a position with one of your sizes, close or reverse it, move your stop to break-even, switch the chart timeframe, trade Options rounds, jump to a market or open a page. You set them up in Settings → Hotkeys → Manage hotkeys (or press ⇧ H on any page), under Institutional → Hotkeys in the top bar, or with Hotkey & size slot settings at the bottom of the Urgent Entry panel.

The window starts with How hotkeys work (open by default; close it once and it stays closed on this device).

  • Build: any modifiers (⌃ Ctrl, ⌥ Alt/Option, ⇧ Shift, ⌘ Cmd) plus exactly one key, e.g. ⇧ B, ⌥ ⇧ L or ⌃ ⌥ F13. Two normal keys at the same time don’t work.
  • Long / Short are two keys one after the other: ⌥ L, then a digit 1–9 (the size slot), within 2.5 seconds.
  • Keys you can use: letters, the number row, the numpad (its own keys: Num 1 is not the same as 1), F1–F24, arrows, punctuation, Home, End, Page Up / Down.
  • Not possible: modifiers alone, Esc, Backspace, Tab, Enter, Space, F5, browser shortcuts (⌘/Ctrl + W, R, T, C, V …) and system shortcuts such as ⌘ Tab.
  • One combination, one action per page: a key can do one thing on the futures page and another on the Options page (⌥ L is Long on futures and Up on Options). If you pick a key that is already in use on the same page, SigSig asks first: Replace moves it to the new action (the old one then has no key), Keep it there leaves everything as it was.
  • Where: trading hotkeys work on the futures trading page, Options hotkeys on the Options page, also right after a click into the chart, and never while you type in a field. Your own page and market hotkeys work on every page.
  • Trade keyboards and Stream Decks send normal key presses. Use keys a normal keyboard doesn’t have (F13–F24) or ⌃ ⌥ ⇧ plus a key, so nothing clashes. A single key without a modifier works too, but for trading a modifier prevents accidents.
  • Keys are shown as printed on your keyboard (for example a German layout shows Z and - where they really are). A hotkey keeps working when you switch the keyboard language.

Every change is saved automatically: keys when you press them, sizes when you leave the field. Done only closes the window.

Switch on Trading hotkeys at the top of the section. The first time, SigSig asks you to confirm that you understand what they do. The switch covers every hotkey that places an order or changes a position: Long / Short, the size slot keys, one key per trade, Flash close, Reverse, Break-even, Close all and Cancel all, and on the Options page Up / Down, the Urgent amount keys and Flash close. While it is off, those rows are greyed out and do nothing.

You have nine size slots. The slot number is the key you press after Long or Short, and a size keeps its number: adding or removing another size never renumbers the rest. Empty slots do nothing.

Slot Size (USDC) Leverage Order type Max slippage
1 100 Current (recommended) Market 1 %
2 250 20 Limit · best bid/ask –
7 empty
  • Size: type it straight into the field, e.g. 500, 2.5k or 50k. ✕ empties the slot. Notional / Margin above the table decides whether a size is the position value or the margin you put up (position value = margin × leverage).
  • Leverage: Current (empty, recommended) uses the leverage set for the market you trade. With a number, SigSig first sets the market to that leverage and then sends the order. On SigSig the leverage applies per market, so it also applies to a position you already hold there, and it stays after the order. If the market allows less (e.g. a 50x slot on a 20x market), no order is sent and the slot shows Max 20x in Urgent Entry.
  • Order type: Market fills at once, within the max slippage. Limit · best bid/ask places a limit order at the best bid (long) or best ask (short): lower maker fee, but it only fills when the price comes to it and otherwise waits in Pending.
  • Max slippage: market slots only (a limit has its own price). Empty = the slippage set in Urgent Entry.

The same slots are the buttons of Urgent Entry.

Close slots work the same way for closing: ⌥ C, then the slot number, closes that share of the open position with a market order. You set the shares in the same section, or in Urgent Entry.

Keys Action
⌥ L, then 1–9 Long with size slot 1–9
⌥ S, then 1–9 Short with size slot 1–9

Press the hotkey, then the slot number. A small note at the top reminds you to pick the slot; Esc cancels. You get the same confirmation as in Urgent Entry (filled, partly filled, not filled or, for a limit, where it waits).

Two folded lists sit right below:

  • One key per trade (trade keyboards): Advanced: Long with slot 1–9 and Short with slot 1–9, one key each, unassigned by default. Made for trade keyboards and Stream Decks; they work alongside ⌥ L / ⌥ S.
  • Size slot keys for Urgent Entry: ⌥ 1 to ⌥ 9 by default: fire slot 1–9 in the side chosen in the Urgent Entry panel, while the panel is open.
Action Default
Move stop loss to break-even ⇧ B
Close position at market (Flash close) ⇧ C
Reverse position ⇧ R
Close all positions –
Cancel all open orders –
Order form: Buy / Long –
Order form: Sell / Short –
Toggle Risk Mode ⇧ K

They act on the market you are viewing, except Cancel all open orders, which cancels your open orders in all markets. Reverse and Close all open the same confirmation as the buttons. Break-even uses the same price as the BE box on the chart (your Stop at setting) and only moves the stop while the position is in profit.

Action Default
Open market search ⌥ Q
Jump to favorite 1–3 –

⌥ Q opens the market search in the middle of the window on every page, with the cursor in its search field: type the market, the top result is marked, press Enter to open it (↑ and ↓ pick another). It finds futures, spot pairs and Options. Until November 2026 the key was ⌃ K; if you never changed it, it moved to ⌥ Q, a key you chose yourself stays.

Your own market hotkeys: give the markets you trade most their own key, e.g. ⌥ B opens BTC. Click + Add market hotkey, type the market and pick it, then press the keys. They work on every page.

Timeframe 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h, 12h, 1D, 1W and 1M: every timeframe of the chart, unassigned by default. The chart has no seconds; one minute is the smallest.

On the Options page, in the round you are viewing. They use the same keys as the futures page where they mean the same.

Action Default
Up, then Urgent amount 1–6 ⌥ L, then 1–6
Down, then Urgent amount 1–6 ⌥ S, then 1–6
Urgent amount 1–6, side chosen in the order panel ⌥ 1 to ⌥ 6
Close the round at market (Flash close) ⇧ C
Previous round ⇧ ←
Next round ⇧ →
Go to the live round ⇧ L
  • Urgent amounts for Options at the top of the section: up to 6 amounts from 5 to 99,999.99 USDC, always smallest first. They are separate from the futures size slots and are the same amounts as the Urgent tiles on the Options page, which show their number in the corner. Edit in the order panel changes the same list.
  • Up / Down work like Long / Short: press the hotkey, then the number of the Urgent amount, within 2.5 seconds. The order goes in at once at the market price, like a click on the amount.
  • Urgent amount 1–6 buys on the side selected in the order panel (Up or Down), in a folded list Urgent amount keys.
  • Flash close sells your shares of the round you are viewing at once (Up and Down, if you hold both).
  • Up, Down, the amount keys and Flash close need Trading hotkeys switched on. Switching rounds works without it.
Action Default
Toggle Zero Emotions Mode ⇧ Z
Open hotkey settings ⇧ H

Your own page hotkeys: click + Add page hotkey, pick a page from the list (for example Options, Spot, Deposit, Positions, Transaction history, Leaderboard or Trade) and press the keys, e.g. ⌥ D opens Deposit. Pages that are new on SigSig are at the top of the list, marked New. They work on every page. If SigSig renames or moves a page, your hotkey follows it; if a page is removed, the hotkey shows Page no longer available and you can remove it with ✕.

  1. Open Settings → Hotkeys → Manage hotkeys (or Institutional → Hotkeys in the top bar, or Hotkey & size slot settings in Urgent Entry).
  2. Click the key next to an action and press the new combination.
  3. Esc cancels, Backspace removes the hotkey.

Reset all (click twice to confirm) brings back the state of a new account: default keys, trading hotkeys off, no own market or page hotkeys, and the size slots 100 / 250 / 500 / 1K / 2.5K / 5K with leverage Current, order type Market and the Urgent Entry slippage.

Hotkeys, size slots and the on/off switch are saved with your account, the same on every device and browser once trading is enabled there. See Your settings on every device.
